Miguel Harichi Drops Bombshell Truth About Louis Russell Friendship After Leah & Huda Drama!

In a jaw-dropping twist that has Love Island USA fans buzzing, Season 6 star Miguel Harichi has taken to social media to set the record straight about his fractured friendship with Perfect Match star Louis Russell. The drama, which has been brewing since rumors of tension between their respective partners surfaced, has now exploded into a public fallout, with Miguel pulling no punches in his candid Instagram Stories statement on Saturday, August 2.

Miguel, 28, who has been happily coupled up with Leah Kateb since their time on Love Island USA Season 6 in 2024, didn’t hold back when addressing the controversy surrounding Louis, 24, and his rumored new romance with Love Island USA Season 7 Islander Huda Mustafa. “If you know me, you know I’m someone who’s very private. If I have a problem, I deal with it personally,” Miguel began, setting the tone for his fiery message. “However, the more I dive into this world, the more I see some people have different takes on that, and perspectives can get corrupted.”

The drama kicked off when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Leah, 25, had unfollowed Louis on Instagram, sparking speculation about bad blood. The tension seemed to escalate after Louis attended the Weapons red carpet premiere on July 31 with Huda, 24, prompting rumors about their relationship status. While neither Louis nor Huda has confirmed whether they’re officially an item, Miguel’s statement suggests there’s more to the story than meets the eye.

“People I called my friends feeling as though they have the right to talk on my relationship so negatively in such a public manner with no regard for how this might affect my girl’s mental [health]!” Miguel wrote, clearly frustrated. He went on to slam those who made assumptions about his relationship with Leah without knowing the full context, calling their actions “disgusting.” “Making assumptions without first understanding reasons behind certain actions and using that to let people drag her name and drag my relationship is disgusting,” he added. “I’m beyond disappointed, I’m beyond upset, and I honestly want no part in any of it.”

Miguel didn’t stop there. He directly addressed the narrative surrounding Leah’s decision to unfollow Louis, clarifying that it wasn’t simply about Louis’ rumored romance with Huda. “They did it because, as women, the reasoning behind why he was dating her didn’t sit right with them,” Miguel explained, hinting at deeper issues that have yet to be fully revealed. “Whether or not they are truly falling for each other, at this point, I couldn’t care less. I wish them nothing but peace, but my road is my own, and I would prefer if my name and my girl’s name no longer [be] closed into their world.”

The fallout comes on the heels of another social media storm, as fans noticed Leah had also unfollowed Huda after Love Island USA Season 7 wrapped last month. Leah, however, was quick to shut down rumors of any “beef” with her fellow Islanders. In a TikTok comment, she wrote, “I’m incredibly proud of everyone who has gone on Love Island bc it takes a lot to put yourself up on a chopping board like this. I wish them all well truly. … I haven’t spoken about Love Island once. I’m not watching it. I don’t know why you guys want to involve me so badly. Please leave me alone.”

Huda, who left the Love Island villa single after her fling with Chris Seeley fizzled out, has yet to address her connection with Louis, who is currently stirring up drama on Season 3 of Perfect Match. On the Netflix show, Louis has been forming a connection with The Ultimatum alum Sandy Gallagher, leaving fans wondering how his rumored off-screen romance with Huda fits into the picture.

Miguel’s bombshell statement has made one thing clear: he’s done with the drama and ready to protect his relationship with Leah at all costs. “It feels ridiculous I’m even writing this message, but this [is] the world I’m in, and everyone seems to need an explanation,” he concluded. “The people you thought I was close to, please remove that idea from you’re [sic] mind because its clear to me now, we’re walking two different paths.”

As the Love Island USA and Perfect Match worlds collide, fans are left eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this unfolding saga. Will Louis or Huda respond to Miguel’s explosive claims? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure—this drama is far from over.
