The first contestants have left The Traitors this week, with the drama kicking up a serious notch on the show, leaving viewers hooked.
The week kicked off with bloodshed as the three traitors, Eamon, Katelyn, and Paudie, committed their first ‘murder’.
Unluckily for David, a 48-year-old gardener from Dublin, his time was cut short on the show as the traitors chose to kill him, as he was proving too popular.

While later the drama continued to unfold as Diane was also booted off the RTÉ show, despite the fact she was one of the faithful.
And speaking about being booted off the show, David admitted he had a game plan before entering the show after watching previous seasons, but wasn’t able to stick to it.
“My game plan went out the window as soon as I walked in. I’m very hyper and giddy by nature, I’m a big kid”, he told RSVP. “My plan was to tone it down, but sure I was straight for the glass of champagne when I got in and that was the end of that!”
“My game plan had been to tone things down, but it was impossible. I’ve always just been quite energetic. But you know the saying, nice guys finish last, and I finished last so I’ll take that. “
And while Dave had previously gone viral as ‘The Cinderella Man’ from Electric Picnic several years ago, he revealed he hadn’t been approached to do the show.
“I did apply myself, the process was actually very rigorous. There were lots of interviews, we even had to speak to the therapist. There were a lot of assessments so I didn’t get it off the back of that viral video, I got it off the Dave you see here now!”
Speaking on how he believes will go far in the show, he revealed he would be putting his money on Nick, revealing he has played it exactly the way he wishes he had done.
“I think Nick will do well, he’s a handsome lad, he tall, dark and handsome”, he said. “
“And he’s been doing all the right things, standing back, being a bit quiet and standoffish. “
“I did watch previous seasons of the English one, and the plan had been to keep things toned down, as soon as I got out , my friends and friends were like what happened to that you idiot!” David laughes.
“I got a bit of slagging. I should have been more clever but it is what it is. “
And while there was absolute outcry from Viewers that Diane had been banished, with fans quick to note how genuine she was. Diane says she holds no grudges against her castmates and is just thrilled she was able to take part.
“To be honest, someone has to go, and I just feel privileged to have been one of the few people chosen to take part of the show and be back of history and the first ever Irish season.”
