Davina McCall’s latest show Stranded on Honeymoon Island is reportedly facing the axe after just one series due to plunging ratings.
The BBC One rival for ITV juggernaut Love Island pulled in just 848,000 viewers on its debut show last Wednesday, despite its huge £5million budget.
The brand new dating show eventually dropped to an average of 517,000 viewers on its third outing on Friday.
It was outshined by Jeremy Clarkson’s Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire over on ITV, which grabbed 1.4million viewers.
‘These are abysmal viewing figures by anyone’s standards, but the fact they are for a show in a prime time slot on BBC One is beyond belief,’ a source told The Sun.
‘It’s proof you have to pick the right format for the right channel.

‘Trying to create something which has a flavour of Love Island, then serving it up to a traditionally mature audience, was a terrible idea.’
The telly source added there were notably huge costs involved including ‘sending over dozens of contestants and crew to an island in the Philippines’ in a 13,000-mile round trip.
MailOnline has contacted BBC representatives for a comment.
The show followed a group of singletons who go speed dating, and after five minutes have to pick their favourite.
After that, they are put together by a matchmaker, tie the knot and are then dropped on an island and are made to go back to basics.
The flop can’t be attributed to the much-loved host Davina, 57, as she bagged more than double the viewers for her show Long Lost Family, which aired on ITV last week.
The axing rumours don’t come as a surprise as viewers previously shared their unimpressed opinions about the reality series on social media platforms like X.
Some said that it is very similar to E4’s Married At First Sight – which sees relationship experts match up couples and sees them get married and live life as a married couple.

Speaking ahead of the premiere, Davina teased a lot of drama as she said: ‘The thing I love about this show, is that they arrive on Honeymoon Island with no idea who they are going to marry.
‘Our couples start with a speed dating session, they then pick their favourites, but they don’t know who our relationship experts have chosen for them.
‘So, it’s the surprise of turning up to the wedding not knowing who they’re going to marry.
‘It’s actually quite sweet when you see the joy on someone’s face when the person at the altar is the person they were hoping for.
‘Then they go to their new beach home for three weeks and it’s interesting watching them and seeing how they handle that situation and what they expect from their partner.
‘And then on top of all of that, it gets really complicated when we start doing Couples Cove.
‘Everybody starts socialising together and then suddenly maybe you’re looking at other options you met at speed dating, it’s carnage. Lots of drama to come!’
She also opened up about the one ‘issue’ with the show.
Davina confessed that the one problem about taking part is: ‘The loo.
‘I’d have a whopper problem with the poo! I don’t want to hear farting and pooing – I still want to be fancied.’
