A Married at First Sight groom flaunts his rare talents in an unearthed social media clip.
Late arrival Leo, 31, joined the matchmaking show as an intruder groom and married business owner April, also 31. The duo were paired up by E4’s trusted team of experts Paul C. Brunson, Charlene Douglas and Mel Schilling.
Before walking down the aisle, Leo revealed he earned the nickname Hot Dogg Sanchez after competing in the world hotdog-eating competition. The Chichester native then opened up about his wild past.
“I am the undisputed Australian world cheese-rolling champion,” he started, before adding: “I like to do fire juggling, nunchucks. I’ve worked on farms, worked as a cocktail bartender, worked in a steel factory.”
Leo continued: “I broke my back skiing when I was 19. Moving to Australia when I was 18. Got chased by kangaroos, got chased by a wombat.”
All in all, the groom describes himself as a “rocker and a punk” but also a “nerd”. And he certainly embodies a rock star’s spirit in a reel posted four years ago.
Taking to Instagram in 2021, Leo shared a video of himself spinning fire with nunchucks – and he makes it look easy. It is paired with the caption “Like Bruce Lee… but with,” followed by fire emojis.
While the newfound reality star hasn’t wowed audiences with his many talents, his pairing instantly won viewers over.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one penned: “They definitely saved the best match till last with Leo and April.”
A second chimed in with: “April and Leo seem like the happiest couple in this,” while a third said: “Feel like April and Leo have way more things in common than the other couples.”
Someone else posted: “I don’t want to jinx it but the experts may have got it right with April and Leo.”
