British national treasure Stephen Fry is one of the stars taking on BBC One’s Celebrity Traitors – one of the most exciting shows currently on TV.
While Stephen has launched headfirst into playing as a Faithful, his Blackadder co-star Tony Robinson has revealed that the 68-year-old may be struggling more in the game than audiences may think.
Last week’s episodes introduced fans to the 19 celebrities who’ve entered the Scottish castle, with Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns and Alan Carr being chosen as Traitors. The trio were tasked with killing their first victim in plain sight – and it was eventually revealed to the cast that they had murdered one particularly angry star.
With Celebrity Traitors on everyone’s minds, Lorraine Kelly took the opportunity to ask Blackadder’s Tony how he felt his co-star was doing on the show. “He’s looking very tired,” he said, laughing, on the ITV show.

Tony Robinson loves watching Stephen Fry on Celebrity Traitors
“It’s so sweet. In a room, Stephen is always so confident. To see him pushing those crate log things, desperately trying to keep up with the other bloke. There were tears coming from my eyes.”
He went on to compliment Alan Carr’s show-stopping turn in the competition. “Isn’t Alan Carr just so fantastic? You know how occasionally on telly they do a bit of fantastic casting that transforms the thing completely, and you never expected it.
“From the moment I saw him, I thought, ‘That was so funny.’ All those little looks he does.”
Stephen Fry has survived the first killing by the Traitors; however, The Mirror’s Celebrity Traitors columnist Paul Gorton has revealed that he should have been the group’s first kill. “Anyone that is a national treasure – I’m killing them first,” he said.
“They are getting way too much power in the group by staying around, and Stephen’s always done that. I would have said, and I did say before the show started, that if Stephen wasn’t picked to be a Traitor, he will be the first killed.”
He added: “He’s gaining favour and he’s playing such a clever game – which is classic Stephen Fry – no one’s surprised.
“The Traitors need to be careful with him because as soon as he starts building that group, he’s going to quite hard to take down. It’s the same with Joe Marler and Joe Wilkinson – they’re forming this little bond and other people will start connecting in there.”
