BREAKING: Saquon Just Weighed In on the BG News, and His Message Is LOUD and CLEAR

The Philadelphia Eagles are known for keeping their plans under wraps, with General Manager Howie Roseman and Head Coach Nick Sirianni playing their cards close to the chest. However, the news of Brandon Graham’s potential return has been anything but a secret. After announcing his retirement last March, the veteran defensive end has been in discussions to rejoin the team, and on Monday, reports confirmed he was finalizing a deal to unretire. The following day, Graham spoke with 94 WIP-FM’s Morning Team, where he discussed a charity event he’s hosting and, inevitably, fielded questions about his expected comeback.

During the interview, host Joe DeCamara posed a hypothetical question to Saquon Barkley, the Eagles’ star running back and reigning offensive player of the year, about what Graham’s return would mean for the team. Barkley’s response, filled with respect and admiration, left no doubt about the impact Graham’s presence could have.

“I love how you worded that question,” Barkley began. “If B.G. was to happen to come back to the Philadelphia Eagles, what do I think that would mean? I would think it would mean a lot. Just his presence, his leadership, the way he comes into the locker room… The way he comes into the building every single day… It goes throughout the building, from the vets to the young guys, so if B.G. was to sign back, I would definitely be happy. And, if I happen to see him working really hard, I know he will be ready, and if, it’s a lot of ifs here, but if he comes back, I think it would really help our team out a lot.”

Barkley, who has shared the field with Graham both as a teammate and an opponent, went on to highlight Graham’s unique personality. He noted Graham’s trademark trash talk and bravado, which might seem over-the-top to opponents but reflects his competitive spirit. More importantly, Barkley emphasized Graham’s compassionate nature, pointing out that the veteran shows love and positivity to everyone he encounters.

Initially, the idea of Graham returning raised concerns. Asking a legend who has given everything to the Eagles to come out of retirement seemed like a risky move. Could it lead to injury or tarnish his storied reputation? But upon reflection, those worries began to fade. Graham likely never stopped training, probably staying in shape at the NovaCare Complex, especially after Nolan Smith’s recent injury. The more the idea was considered, the more it felt like a natural fit.

Barkley’s heartfelt words sealed the deal. If the players, coaches, and Graham himself are on board, who are we to question it? The prospect of seeing the No. 55 jersey back on the field, bolstering the Eagles’ defense with his leadership and energy, is now something to eagerly anticipate. Saquon Barkley’s message is loud and clear: Brandon Graham’s return would be a game-changer, and the Eagles’ locker room is ready to welcome their legend back with open arms.
