TRANSFER SHOCK: Arsenal Star DECLARES ‘Dream’ Move Amid Everton Rumors, Door SLAMMED Shut!

Gabriel Jesus, the 28-year-old Arsenal forward, has addressed swirling speculation about his future, emphatically reaffirming his commitment to the Gunners while revealing a “dream” to one day return to his former club, Palmeiras. Amid rumors linking him with a move to Everton and several Brazilian clubs, Jesus has firmly shut the door on an immediate departure from the Emirates.

Jesus has been sidelined since January due to a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury, missing the entirety of Arsenal’s impressive 2025/26 Premier League campaign so far. Despite his absence, the Gunners have thrived, sitting atop the league table with summer signing Viktor Gyokeres spearheading their attack. This has fueled speculation that Jesus could struggle to reclaim a regular starting spot once he regains full fitness, prompting rumors of a potential exit in the January transfer window.

Reports have suggested that Arsenal could be open to selling the Brazilian striker for £30m—half the £60m they paid Manchester City for him in 2022—if a suitable offer arrives. Everton, in need of attacking reinforcements with Beto and Thierno Barry managing just one goal between them this season, have been heavily linked with a move for Jesus, according to TEAMtalk transfer insider Dean Jones. Meanwhile, Brazilian clubs Palmeiras, Gremio, and Flamengo have also been mentioned as potential destinations for the former Manchester City star.

However, Jesus has now spoken out to quash these rumors, emphasizing his focus on recovering and contributing to Arsenal’s title charge. In an exclusive interview with Placar Magazine, he stated, “My main focus is to come back and come back well. Every day, the coach and the board tell me they’re looking forward to my return. I don’t see myself outside the club’s plans. I have a contract until 2027, and that’s where I’ll be.”

Despite his commitment to Arsenal, Jesus did not entirely rule out a future return to Palmeiras, where he began his professional career. “The interest from Palmeiras will always exist, both from them and from me,” he admitted. “But there’s been nothing formal. It’s just the natural interest of a kid who came from their academy and dreams of going back one day.” This acknowledgment of his emotional connection to Palmeiras has kept the door slightly ajar for a potential future move, though it seems unlikely in the immediate term.

For Everton, Jesus’ comments may force manager David Moyes to pivot to alternative targets. TEAMtalk’s Dean Jones revealed on October 23 that the Toffees are considering a shock move for former star Richarlison, who could be available from Tottenham in January. With Arsenal’s title challenge in full swing and Jesus determined to fight for his place under Mikel Arteta, Everton’s hopes of securing the Brazilian appear to have been dashed.

As Jesus continues his recovery, Arsenal fans will be eager to see their versatile forward return to action and contribute to their quest for Premier League glory. For now, the transfer rumors have been put to rest, but the allure of a “dream” return to Palmeiras may linger in the background.
