Panic in Dallas! With Their Defense on Life Support, Cowboys Eyeing MASSIVE Trade for $106M Franchise-Altering Talent

The Dallas Cowboys are staring down a defensive nightmare that threatens to derail their entire season. Ranked 31st against the pass, 29th against the run, and 31st in points allowed per game, America’s Team is hemorrhaging yards and points at an alarming rate. With just 15 sacks through eight games, their pass rush has been nonexistent against any competent offense.

Enter Maxx Crosby—the Las Vegas Raiders’ $106.5 million edge-rushing monster who could single-handedly resuscitate Dallas’s dying defense.

According to The Sporting News’ Vinnie Iyer, the Cowboys are prepared to go all-in for Crosby in a blockbuster deadline deal:

“With the Cowboys’ defense breaking down against any above-average offense… Jerry Jones needs to decide whether his 3-4-1 team will be buyers at the deadline. It seems like Crosby or bust for Dallas.”

Crosby isn’t just a rental—he’s a franchise-altering talent locked up through 2029. The four-time Pro Bowler has four sacks and 25 pressures in just seven games this season, with three double-digit sack campaigns already on his resume.

This would be the perfect panic button for Jerry Jones: an immediate upgrade over an injured Micah Parsons and a long-term solution to Dallas’s pass-rush woes.

But there’s a massive catch.

FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reports the Cowboys have already called Las Vegas about Crosby—only to be firmly told he’s not available. The Raiders, under Pete Carroll, view their defensive cornerstone as untouchable, aligning with every other report screaming that Crosby won’t be traded.

Hats off to Jerry Jones for swinging for the fences, but with Crosby off the table, the Cowboys’ desperate search for defensive help continues. Time is running out in Dallas.
