In a jaw-dropping revelation that’s got fans buzzing, Eddie Kadi’s closest confidant has dropped a bombshell about the comedian’s stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! According to his best mate and former campmate Babatunde Alishe, Eddie might not last long in the show’s infamous trials—potentially tapping out in mere minutes due to his crippling fears.

Babatunde, who co-hosts the Man Like You podcast with Eddie, spilled the tea in an exclusive chat, admitting he’s on the edge of his seat waiting for Sunday’s premiere episode. “Eddie confessed to me how scared he is of the whole experience, and I was shocked,” Babatunde revealed. “I’m scared of frogs, snakes, spiders—I thought Eddie was the brave one. But he confessed he’s really, really scared of ALL the things.”
This comes from a guy who knows a thing or two about jungle jitters. Babatunde famously hollered “I’m A Celebrity… GET ME OUT OF HERE!” just 36 minutes into his 2022 series opener, bowing out of a heart-pounding plank challenge atop a 32-storey building thanks to his terror of heights. Now, he’s predicting a similar fate for his pal: “I’m going to be as surprised as everybody else about how he’s going to react. So I’m kind of looking forward to that. I’m recording every episode to watch back the screams.”
But it’s not all doom and gloom for Eddie. Despite the dire warnings about the creepy-crawly challenges, Babatunde is convinced his buddy will steal the show with his infectious charisma. “Let me tell you something about Eddie—that guy lights up a room,” he gushed while promoting BeStreamWise’s campaign against illegal streaming. “He’s one of the most charming people I’ve ever met. He’ll smile, he’ll dance, he’ll joke with every single person, so he won’t have an issue fitting in.”
In fact, Babatunde’s got a cheeky wager riding on Eddie’s moves: “Knowing Eddie, he’s going to dance in the first 30 seconds of being in there. I guarantee you. I’ve actually got a bet on it with my wife. Within the first minute of him arriving, you’re going to see his hips shaking—I just know it.”
He even foresees hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly jumping on the fun. “If that happens every single day, which I know it will, I think Ant and Dec will most likely bring that up. I guarantee you he’s gonna try and teach them how to move their hips like he does by the end of this. Eddie will get everybody dancing in there, 100 per cent.”
Babatunde, who placed fifth in his series (ultimately won by Lioness Jill Scott), insists there’s zero rivalry between the lifelong friends—he’s known Eddie since he was 19. “I do not compete with my brother,” the 39-year-old declared. “If he wins, I’ll be over the moon, honestly. I hope it does happen. I hope he gets crowned the king of the jungle—that would be amazing.”
As the countdown to Eddie’s jungle debut ticks down, one thing’s for sure: whether he’s conquering his phobias or making a speedy exit, this series is set to be unmissable. Will Eddie defy the odds and dance his way to victory, or will the bugs and beasts send him packing? Stay tuned!
