One of the nation’s favourite TV shows is back! I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here returns to screens on Sunday (16 November) and before they even reach the camp, the celebrities will face a nightmare task.
This is the 25th series of I’m A Celebrity and the show is intent on making it the best one yet. After skydiving onto the beach, the first five famous faces – Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp, rapper Aitch, Kelly Brook, Shona McGarty and Eddie Kadi – discover that they have to battle it out to see which two of them will get to take the Getaway Car to the camp.
The Getaway Car is the fastest route there, and offers a luxury trip, including canapés and cocktails. The two that get to take it are also awarded the comfiest beds in the camp and a steak dinner. Meanwhile the three left have to take the Cockie Van, driven by the show’s favourite shopkeeper Kiosk Kev.
To win a spot in the Getaway Car, the celebs have to climb into a point of a star and race to get the car’s fob, which has been tied to a piece of rope and locked. away. The celebs need to find five different tools that will unlock the five bolts keeping the fob out of reach – in a nightmare twist, these tools are hidden under layers of offal and slime.
This isn’t the only nightmare taking place. The other five celebs – Alex Scott, Jack Osbourne, TikTok star Angry Ginge, Lisa Riley and Ruby Wax – will arrive at a luxury villa. The luxury doesn’t last long as the celebs are made to compete for two more fobs.
This time, it’s a test of nerves. The celebs have to put their hands in a box filled with ants to unscrew the bolts and release a fob, all while their heads are also in a box that stops them from seeing what they are doing. While they work away, the rangers place snakes in their head boxes. Whichever two can hold themselves together long enough to get the fobs will win. Those that don’t have to get to the camp in the Cockie Van, driven by Kiosk Kev and filled with critters.
I’m A Celeb is returning to ITV for it’s 25th series this November. Ant and Dec are also back as the show’s hosts. The pair have already met many of the stars, including Kelly Brook, who reportedly holds a secret grudge against the pair.
Kelly was once a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, which the presenting duo also host, but she was only on it for six days. A source told the Daily Mail that Kelly felt Ant and Dec “sneered” at her.
“Kelly might be all smiles, but underneath she is a tough, tough woman who doesn’t take well to being crossed,” they said. “She doesn’t forget. It is going to make for great television. She thinks Ant and Dec sneered at her for being a Page 3 girl, they didn’t think she had any talent. She’s a down-to-earth working-class girl done good, and she hates snobby behaviour. Woe betide Ant and Dec.”
