THE WAIT IS OVER! EAGLES Decide on Week 12 Fate of Cam Jurgens in Final Injury Update

Philadelphia, PA – The anticipation has been building all week, but Eagles fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. In their final injury update ahead of Sunday’s pivotal NFC East showdown against the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles have officially cleared Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens to play. After dealing with a concussion sustained in last week’s game, Jurgens has been upgraded from questionable to no injury designation, paving the way for his return to the starting lineup.

The news broke Saturday afternoon via ESPN’s Adam Schefter on X (formerly Twitter), who reported: “Eagles C Cam Jurgens has been upgraded to no injury status for Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys and is good to go.” Schefter also noted that wide receiver DeVonta Smith is traveling separately from the team for personal reasons but carries no game status, meaning he’s expected to suit up without issue.

The Eagles’ official team announcement soon followed, confirming Jurgens’ status. Team reporter Chris McPherson detailed the update: “The Eagles announced on Saturday that center Cam Jurgens has been upgraded from questionable to no game status for Sunday’s matchup in Dallas. Jurgens has cleared the concussion protocol and will play against the Cowboys.” McPherson added context on the injury, explaining that Jurgens suffered the concussion during the Eagles’ Sunday night clash against the Detroit Lions on November 16, 2025, at Lincoln Financial Field. Despite missing Wednesday’s practice, Jurgens progressed through the week, fully participating on Friday and receiving clearance from an independent neurologist.

This development is a massive boost for Philadelphia’s offensive line, which has been plagued by injuries this season. Jurgens, a key piece in the trenches, had already missed time earlier in the year due to a knee issue before returning against the Lions. His presence is especially critical as the Eagles will be without All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson, who has been ruled out with a foot injury—specifically a Lisfranc issue that could sideline him longer term. Backup Fred Johnson is slated to step in at right tackle, but having Jurgens anchor the center position should help stabilize the unit against a formidable Cowboys defense.

For years, the Eagles’ offensive line has been the backbone of their success, earning a reputation as one of the NFL’s most dominant groups. However, the 2025 campaign has tested their depth with various ailments. Getting Jurgens back is a step toward reclaiming that full strength, even if it’s not quite there yet. Head coach Nick Sirianni and the team will look to leverage this positive momentum as they hit the road for a crucial Week 12 battle that could have major implications for the division standings.

As the Eagles aim to build on their recent form and push toward the playoffs, Jurgens’ return couldn’t come at a better time. Kickoff against the Cowboys is set for Sunday afternoon at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Stay tuned for more updates as Philadelphia continues to navigate the grind of the season.
