It’s a Married At First Sight recoupling we didn’t see coming but it looks like series 10’s Ashley Dommett and April Holmes may be dating IRL.
Now let’s be honest, it was pretty obvious early on that Ash and Grace Law’s marriage wasn’t going to work, and as soon as April had doubts about her marriage to Leo Stanley (on their honeymoon) we knew they wouldn’t last either.
However, we most certainly didn’t see Ash and April sparking dating rumours and it’s all thanks to their getaway together outside the experiment.
Posting a video of themselves having a drink together, they wrote on Instagram (in a joint post, FYI), ‘Just a couple of country bumpkins enjoying the countryside 🤪 I genuinely forgot how fun you are to be around 🫶🏼.’
Of course, fans went wild with one person writing, ‘This is THE match!!!! 😍😍.’
Someone else said, ‘Get a room 🤪😜.’
A third commented, ‘That’s a date! You guys 😄 Enjoy the fun times to the max 👌.’
One more added, ‘Love this, you were two of my favourite people this year and it was horrible to see you both look so broken by the end of it. This is lovely to see, whether it be a friendship or more I’m loving it!’
And after Ashley posted a TikTok with April, one fan even speculated, ‘Ok hear me out… this has been going on a while so soft launch now? Those clothes aren’t saying November to me! 🤣🥶. Love this for them x.’
Unfortunately after lots of speculation – and HUNDREDS of comments – April confirmed that they’re not dating. Boo.
‘You’ve still got a chance [with Ash] as we’re just friends,’ she told one fan on social media.
Well, that’s that then.
They wouldn’t be the first series 10 cast member to spark recoupling rumours – Julia-Ruth Smith and Steven Springett had plans to go for a drink together but they cancelled plans following the explosive reunion episode.
Julia-Ruth also went on holiday, slept with and got matching tattoos with fellow groom Joe Wood who failed to return to the show after abruptly quitting.
