BOMBSHELL: New report lifts the lid on Tom Brady’s disastrous first year as Las Vegas Raiders co-owner

Tom Brady’s challenging tenure in Las Vegas has been exposed in a shocking new report detailing the 2-10 Raiders’ ongoing struggles.

The iconic NFL quarterback, who secured seven Super Bowl victories during his playing career, was officially approved as a minority owner in October 2024.

Billionaire Raiders owner Mark Davis promised that Brady would wield a ‘huge voice’ in shaping the franchise’s future. However, in his inaugural season, the team’s misfortunes have persisted unabated.

Only the New York Giants (2-11) and Tennessee Titans (1-11) boast worse records than Las Vegas, which is set to host the Denver Broncos this Sunday.

A Raiders insider confided to The Athletic: ‘I really don’t know what the plan is. I don’t think anyone knows.’

According to the report, Brady’s colleagues anticipated that the former quarterback would recruit one of the league’s most sought-after coaches, such as former Titans head coach Mike Vrabel or Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.

Instead, the team opted for 74-year-old Pete Carroll, who has yet to reverse the Raiders’ fortunes.

The Athletic also reveals that there was optimism in the locker room that Brady would secure Matthew Stafford as the new quarterback. Stafford, however, remained with the Los Angeles Rams and is now a strong contender for MVP.

Brady reportedly rejected the notion of signing Sam Darnold, allowing the former Vikings quarterback to join the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle now stands at 9-3 with Darnold at the helm, tied for the lead in the NFC West alongside the Rams. Meanwhile, the Raiders inked Geno Smith to a $75 million deal, but he has underperformed significantly.

It’s further alleged that Brady advocated for the hiring of Chip Kelly, who became the NFL’s highest-paid offensive coordinator. Kelly was dismissed last month.

Despite making only a handful of visits to the team facility this season, Brady’s influence echoes daily through discussions with Davis, general manager John Spytek, players, and coaches, per The Athletic.

Brady balances his Raiders responsibilities with a lucrative $375 million role as an NFL analyst for Fox Sports. His ‘eyes and ears’ in Las Vegas is longtime trainer and business partner Alex Guerrero.

League-wide concerns emerged that Brady and Guerrero would usher in a transformative era for the franchise. Instead, rumors are swirling that Carroll’s dismissal may be imminent.
