BREAKING: The New England Patriots continue to make adjustments to their roster in advance of their Week 15 showdown with the Buffalo Bills.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — As the New England Patriots gear up for their crucial Week 15 matchup against the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium, the team is fine-tuning its roster, particularly in the running back department, to ensure depth and readiness for the high-stakes AFC East clash.

In a series of moves announced on Thursday, the Patriots have placed running back Craig Reynolds on the practice squad injured reserve list. To fill the void, they’ve activated running back Jashaun Corbin from the practice squad injured reserve to the active practice squad.

Corbin, 25, brings a wealth of experience from his journeyman career. Originally signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State on May 16, 2022, the 5-foot-11, 215-pound back has bounced around the league, spending time with the Giants, Carolina Panthers, and Atlanta Falcons. During his rookie season in 2022, he remained on the Giants’ practice squad. In 2023, he briefly joined Carolina’s practice squad before returning to New York.

This season, Corbin saw limited action with the Giants, appearing in six games where he recorded one rushing attempt for one yard and three receptions for 12 yards. Earlier in 2025, he showcased his talent in the United Football League (UFL) with the San Antonio Brahmas, leading the league with 514 rushing yards on 97 carries, along with four touchdowns. He also contributed 18 receptions for 138 yards and added 252 yards as a kick returner. Corbin attended training camp with the Falcons this summer but was released before the regular season began.

The Patriots first signed Corbin to their practice squad on October 7, only to place him on injured reserve on October 28. His activation now provides much-needed reinforcement behind the active roster running backs: Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson, and Terrell Jennings. Veteran Antonio Gibson was sidelined earlier this year with a season-ending injury, further emphasizing the importance of these adjustments.

Reynolds, 29, joins a growing list of injured Patriots players. The 5-foot-11, 216-pound running back signed with New England’s practice squad on November 29 after a career that has seen him suit up for Washington (2019), Atlanta (2019), Jacksonville (2020), and most recently, Detroit (2021-25). An undrafted free agent out of Kutztown in 2019, Reynolds has appeared in 60 regular-season games with two starts, accumulating 154 rushing attempts for 658 yards and one touchdown, plus 25 receptions for 258 yards.

In 2025 alone, Reynolds played in seven games for the Lions, rushing three times for four yards before his move to New England. His placement on injured reserve opens the door for Corbin to step up alongside veteran D’Ernest Johnson on the practice squad. Notably, Johnson has already exhausted his three game-day elevations for the season, making Corbin’s role even more critical as the Patriots push toward the playoffs.

These roster tweaks come at a pivotal time for the Patriots, who are looking to bolster their ground game against a formidable Bills defense. With the AFC playoff picture tightening, every adjustment counts as New England aims to secure a win in this divisional rivalry.
