ANFIELD’S £100M BOMBSHELL! Liverpool Ready to Seal TWO Major Exits as Bayern Munich Close In, The Transfer Shake-Up is INCREDIBLE!

Liverpool FC are staring down the barrel of a seismic summer shake-up at Anfield, with whispers of a potential £100million double departure involving two of their most iconic players. Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk – the beating heart of the Reds’ recent successes – could be on their way out, according to explosive punditry claims. Meanwhile, Arne Slot’s side have received a massive boost in their pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano, as the German giants ramp up the pressure on the French defender.

This isn’t just business as usual; it’s a full-blown transfer revolution that could redefine Liverpool’s squad for years to come.

Former Manchester United, West Bromwich Albion, and England goalkeeper Ben Foster has dropped a bombshell on his Fozcast podcast, suggesting Liverpool should cash in on both Salah and van Dijk for a combined £100m (€115m / $137m) windfall.

Foster didn’t mince words: “Virgil’s nowhere near the player he was at this point last season and with Mo Salah, there’s all sorts kicking off with him. It’s why clubs are so wary about giving contracts to older players. These are big earners as well.

“You’d like to think that they’re probably both on £300,000 a week. If you go giving them two or three-year deals, then I just think you get to that point where you finally sign it and you go, ‘Right, that’s me done.’

“There’s nothing to suggest personally that they would have a drop off, except the hundreds of players before them that have done the same thing. Their character suggests to me that they wouldn’t do that because they are professional.

“But we have seen it so many times where big-name players sign that big deal and then the drop off is phenomenal. If they could get £40m or £50m for Mo Salah, and probably the same for Virgil Van Dijk, you’re taking it.”

The timing couldn’t be more poignant. Salah’s future has been under intense scrutiny following his very public criticism of the club and Slot last month. Reports indicate the Saudis are gearing up for another massive bid this summer, potentially reigniting the saga that has simmered since his previous flirtations with a move to the Middle East.

Van Dijk, too, has shown signs of a dip in form, raising questions about whether Liverpool can afford to tie him down long-term at his current salary.

On the incoming front, Liverpool’s interest in Bayern Munich centre-back Dayot Upamecano has been given a huge lift. Transfer insider Graeme Bailey reports that Bayern have issued a stark ultimatum to the 26-year-old Frenchman: their contract offer is only on the table for weeks, not months.

The Bavarians are desperate to avoid losing him on a free transfer when his current deal expires this summer. They’ve made it crystal clear they won’t sweeten the pot further, leaving Upamecano to weigh his options amid a flurry of interest.

Liverpool have already made contact with Upamecano’s entourage to explore a potential move. They’re not alone – Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Inter Milan have all thrown their hats into the ring.

Bayern remain optimistic about tying him down but are genuinely worried about the financial muscle of Premier League clubs. With Upamecano valued in the £50m+ range, this could be Liverpool’s chance to secure a top-class replacement if van Dijk does depart.

Adding fuel to the fire, former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has floated a controversial theory: sacking Arne Slot might actually help keep Salah at Anfield for one more season.

When asked if Salah is likely to leave this summer, Murphy said: “I think so, yeah. I know he’s contracted longer, but with what’s gone on, how the team’s performed and how he’s performed, I think it would surprise most people if he stayed for another year.

“The only caveat would be if a new manager came in and really wanted to build a team around him, try to get one more year out of him and have that conversation. I don’t know Mo Salah personally, but maybe he’d be given a new impetus, a new lease of life, with a different manager.

“It seems that although he’s played since he came back from AFCON, things maybe aren’t the same as before. We don’t think there’s been an apology – we haven’t heard of that – but they’ve got on with it for the good of the club.

“Inevitably, as you get older, you probably struggle, like most of us did, to come to terms with the fact that you’re not necessarily as important, that you don’t play every game and every minute, no matter what you’ve done before. Even though what he’s done before is phenomenal. I think it would be a surprise if he’s still wearing a Liverpool shirt at the beginning of next season…”

Murphy’s comments highlight the tension at Anfield, where Salah’s legendary status clashes with the realities of age, form, and squad rotation.

With Salah’s contract situation unresolved, van Dijk’s form under the microscope, and Upamecano potentially heading to Merseyside, this summer could mark the end of an era at Anfield. The £100m from a Salah-van Dijk double sale would give Slot (or his successor) serious firepower in the market – but at what cost to the club’s identity?

Liverpool fans are bracing for the unthinkable. Will the Reds hold firm and build around their stars, or will this be the summer the Anfield legends bid an emotional farewell?

Stay tuned – the transfer window is heating up, and the shake-up at Liverpool promises to be nothing short of incredible.
