BREAKING: ANFIELD JUST GOT A NEW GENERAL! One of the Premier League’s elite left-backs has put pen to paper and is DITCHING his club for Liverpool. The red carpet is rolled out!

The upcoming summer transfer window at Anfield is set to feature a significant overhaul at left-back, with reports strongly indicating that one of the Premier League’s standout performers in the position, Antonee Robinson, is on the verge of joining Liverpool.

A clear-out appears imminent on Merseyside’s left flank. Last summer, Liverpool invested £40m in Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, the young Hungarian full-back who has since pushed long-serving Scot Andy Robertson down the pecking order. Now 32, Robertson’s contract expires in summer 2026, and he is widely anticipated to depart Anfield after many successful years. Joining him on the exit route is Greek international Kostas Tsimikas, currently on loan at Roma. With his deal running until 2027, sporting director Richard Hughes is open to permanent offers this summer.

While Liverpool boast promising academy talents like Owen Beck, Luke Chambers, and Calum Scanlon ready to step up, the club may seek a more experienced reinforcement to provide immediate quality and competition.

Enter Antonee Robinson, the Fulham and USA international who has established himself as one of the division’s top attacking left-backs. Athletic, aggressive in duels, and excellent at covering large spaces while delivering consistent width and dangerous crosses, the 28-year-old has made over 200 appearances for Fulham and remains a nailed-on starter for the USMNT.

Despite a stop-start campaign this season due to injuries, Robinson’s quality is undeniable—Fulham manager Marco Silva has previously hailed him as “one of the best left-backs in the league.” Liverpool have done their due diligence on the player as a long-term target.

Recent reports indicate that Liverpool have entered the race for the USA international, joining competition from Manchester United and Aston Villa. Crucially, Robinson is believed to favour a move to Anfield over other suitors. He would prefer to play at Liverpool if he departs Craven Cottage.

Robinson signed a new contract with Fulham in 2023, tying him to the club until 2028 on wages around £50,000 per week. Fulham acquired him for a modest fee (around £2m) back in 2020, meaning any sale would deliver substantial pure profit. Valuations hover between £25m (Fulham’s likely asking price) and £35–40m according to data sites.

With Robertson’s potential departure creating a vacancy and Kerkez already in situ as a high-potential starter, Robinson’s arrival would add proven Premier League pedigree, international experience, and attacking thrust to Arne Slot’s options. His preference for Anfield gives Liverpool a clear advantage in negotiations, especially if Champions League qualification bolsters their appeal.

All signs point to a summer where Antonee Robinson could become the latest high-profile addition to Liverpool’s left-back ranks, strengthening a key area as the club continues to evolve under new leadership.
