HE’S READY TO STUN THE WORLD: £87m PSG Ace Rejects the Money, Chooses Anfield Glory – Liverpool’s New Nightmare for Rivals is Officially Coming.

The chances of Bradley Barcola joining Liverpool this summer are growing significantly, with two prominent French outlets reporting strong mutual interest between the player and the Premier League club.

After bursting onto the scene at Lyon in 2022, the versatile 23-year-old forward completed a €50million move to Paris Saint-Germain in August 2023. Since then, Barcola has established himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young attackers, registering an impressive 39 goals and 37 assists across 151 appearances for the French champions.

Barcola played a vital role in PSG’s historic quadruple-winning campaign last season. This term, he has contributed 13 goals and seven assists in 48 matches, helping the club secure another Ligue 1 title and reach the Champions League final. Yet despite his consistent output, the Frenchman finds himself behind the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué in head coach Luis Enrique’s current hierarchy.

According to Le10Sport, Liverpool’s pursuit of Barcola is “boiling” and the player is “hotly tempted” by a move to Anfield. L’Equipe has corroborated the reports, confirming that Liverpool hold strong interest and that Barcola is keen on joining the Reds. Earlier this month, Le10Sport noted that Liverpool were “hotter than ever” in their chase for the winger.

Barcola, who can operate effectively as a winger or centre-forward, changed agents earlier this season. He has tasked his new representatives with exploring the best opportunities available, with England emerging as his most likely destination. Sources indicate he is firmly back on the radars of both Liverpool and Arsenal.

Strategic Fit for Liverpool

Liverpool are actively seeking two new forwards to refresh their attack ahead of the new campaign. A long-term successor for Mohamed Salah on the right flank remains a priority, alongside a versatile forward capable of covering while Hugo Ekitike recovers from Achilles surgery. Barcola’s profile aligns closely with these needs.

The Frenchman is currently valued at around €100m (£87m), the same figure attached to Liverpool’s primary target, RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande. However, several factors could elevate Barcola’s candidacy. Leipzig are working to tie Diomande down to a new long-term contract, potentially delaying any departure until 2027. Additionally, Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing a bid to pip Liverpool to the German forward.

In contrast, Barcola’s valuation appears more flexible, and his desire for regular first-team football and a new challenge could prove decisive. Reports suggest he is prioritising sporting ambition and the chance to shine at a club with Liverpool’s stature over purely financial incentives.

Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United has also been linked as a potential option for the versatile forward role, given his desire to leave St James’ Park this summer. Gordon primarily plays on the left but can function as a false nine.

Whether Arne Slot will oversee these incoming transfers remains uncertain, as the club reportedly harbours “very serious” concerns over the Dutch manager, prompting FSG to reconsider their position.

As the summer transfer window heats up, Bradley Barcola stands on the brink of a career-defining move. Should he choose Anfield, Liverpool will welcome a dynamic, proven talent capable of tormenting Premier League defences for years to come. For rival clubs, the prospect of facing a motivated Barcola in red is already becoming a daunting reality.
