Chef Anthony Iracane, known for his culinary skills on Below Deck, is getting a shot at redemption in Season 12 aboard the motor yacht St. David. After a tumultuous Season 11, where his performance plummeted leading to his firing by Captain Kerry Titheradge, Anthony is back, thanks to Chief Stew Fraser Olender. Fraser vouched for his friend’s talent and assured the captain that Anthony had resolved the personal struggles that impacted his work last season. However, it was on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live (WWHL) that Anthony revealed the jaw-dropping details of what he was grappling with, leaving host Andy Cohen stunned.
During the June 16 episode of WWHL, Anthony dropped a bombshell about his personal life. “I wouldn’t show a lot of emotion. Everybody knows what happened. I [got] divorced. My ex-wife left me for my uncle, so that’s kind of a crazy thing. My dad passed. I went through a lot,” he shared candidly. Andy, visibly shocked, pressed for clarification: “Hold on, please … Your ex-wife left you for your uncle?”
Anthony confirmed the affair, explaining that it happened six months before filming for Season 11 began. Yachting is a family affair for the Iracanes—his uncle is a captain, and his ex-wife was serving as a chief stew on his vessel. When Andy asked if the couple was still together, Anthony revealed, “Yeah. They want to make a family. So it’s kind of cool. It’s like, who am I? Am I their uncle now?” Despite the surreal situation, Anthony maintains a surprisingly gracious outlook, though he emphasized he is “absolutely not” in contact with either his ex-wife or uncle. Reflecting on the ordeal, he added, “I mean, honestly, it was for the best.”
Compounding the emotional toll of the betrayal, Anthony also mourned the loss of his father shortly before joining Season 11. “I jumped on Below Deck with all of this in my mind,” he admitted, shedding light on why his performance suffered last season.
While Anthony has worked through these personal challenges, his return to Below Deck isn’t without fresh drama. He’s now questioning whether Fraser, the friend who advocated for his comeback, might have played a role in his Season 11 firing. As Anthony navigates his redemption arc, fans are left wondering how these tensions will unfold on St. David.
