In a fiery new chapter of The Real Housewives of Orange County drama, Alexis Bellino, 48, is hitting back hard at Shannon Beador’s claims surrounding a $60,000 settlement paid to Alexis’ fiancé, John Janssen, to resolve a lawsuit over a facelift loan. In a candid interview on the July 18 episode of Reality With the King, Alexis didn’t hold back, dishing on the financial fallout, Shannon’s alleged manipulation of newcomer Katie Ginella, 41, and her own absence from the RHOC spotlight. She also gave a sneak peek into her wedding plans with John, leaving fans buzzing with anticipation.
The legal battle between Shannon and John stemmed from a $75,000 loan John provided for Shannon’s facelift, which she allegedly promised to repay. After months of legal wrangling, Shannon settled for $60,000—a figure she claimed was funding Alexis and John’s upcoming wedding. Alexis, however, was quick to set the record straight.

“Shannon owed us $75,000, and we paid $25,000 to $30,000 in attorney fees,” Alexis revealed. “So, after the $60,000 settlement, we barely broke even with about $30,000 back. That money might’ve covered our wedding invitations or our recent family vacation, but it’s hardly the windfall she’s implying.”
Alexis didn’t stop there, taking aim at Shannon’s narrative. “It’s laughable,” she said. “Shannon, who claimed she couldn’t afford her facelift or her bills and needed money from my future husband, is now acting like she’s some saint for paying back what she owed. How does that add up?”
She also debunked Shannon’s claim that John never paid for anything during their relationship. “If she paid for everything, why did she need $75,000 from John? The math isn’t mathing,” Alexis quipped. She emphasized that Shannon only settled because she knew she’d lose in court. “We had the emails to prove she promised to repay the loan. She settled to avoid an even bigger loss.”
Alexis also weighed in on Shannon’s sudden camaraderie with RHOC newbie Katie Ginella. In a recent episode, Shannon appeared to defend Katie against group criticism, but Alexis isn’t buying the sincerity. “I don’t think it was genuine,” she said. “Shannon’s just using Katie to push the narrative that ganging up on one person is wrong. But I agree with the principle—no one should be piled on by a group. I’ve been there myself on Housewives, and it’s not okay.”
Alexis suggested a more mature approach: “If you have an issue, pull the person aside or pick up the phone. Ganging up at a table with six women against one? That’s not how adults handle things.” While she commended Shannon’s stance against group attacks, Alexis believes their friendship is far from authentic. “They’re not close. It’s just a convenient storyline for Shannon.”
Another point of contention for Alexis is Shannon’s habit of dramatically exiting confrontations. “It happens every season, and the girls are over it,” Alexis said. “They just roll their eyes now. When you sign up for Housewives, you know it’s about conflict and resolution. Storming off every time shows you can’t hold your own or dish it back.”
Alexis argued that Shannon’s inability to face issues head-on undermines her role on the show. “If you can’t sit there and take it, or respond without running away, what are you doing here?” she questioned.
Despite not being a current cast member, Alexis’ name has been a hot topic in the first few episodes of RHOC’s latest season. “It’s frustrating not having a voice when your name is mentioned every episode,” she admitted. “I’m the least paid housewife on the books, just like John’s appendage last year,” she added with a laugh, referencing a jab from the previous season.
While she can’t respond on-screen, Alexis remains steadfast. “I stay true to myself. I’m a convicted person, and I’ll defend what I believe is right, even to a fault. I’m not changing who I am.”
Surprisingly, Alexis doesn’t miss filming. “Watching the show now, it feels like it’s missing fun,” she said. “It’s all drama and pettiness. Where’s the joy? I don’t miss it right now.”
On a brighter note, Alexis shared that her wedding planning with John is in full swing. “It’s going great,” she teased. “It’s right around the corner, but I’m not spilling if it’s in two days, a month, or three months!” With a seasoned perspective from past experiences, Alexis feels relaxed. “I’ve been there, done that. We have a great wedding planning team, so I’m a lot less stressed this time.”
As the drama unfolds on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Alexis Bellino remains unapologetically herself—calling out what she sees as hypocrisy, defending her fiancé, and looking forward to her future with John. Whether it’s settling legal scores or planning a dream wedding, Alexis is proving she’s ready to take on anything, with or without a spot on the RHOC roster.
