The Dallas Cowboys made headlines this offseason with a bold move, trading for former New England Patriots quarterback Joe Milton III to serve as Dak Prescott’s primary backup for the 2025 season. While the trade was initially about bolstering the quarterback room, Milton is proving he’s more than just a talented arm—he’s a cultural force on and off the field.
During training camp, Milton has been turning heads with his jaw-dropping athleticism and raw talent, showcasing why the Cowboys took a chance on him. With the preseason looming, fans are eager to see the dynamic quarterback in action. But on Friday afternoon, Milton stole the spotlight in an entirely different way: by giving Dak Prescott a lesson in swagger.

In a moment that’s already setting social media ablaze, Dallas Morning News reporter Joseph Hoyt captured a video of Milton schooling Prescott in the art of the “Slick Back Jubi Slide,” a TikTok dance craze that took the internet by storm a few years ago. The lighthearted exchange saw the typically stoic Prescott attempting to master the smooth, gliding moves under Milton’s enthusiastic guidance. While Prescott’s footwork needs a bit more polish, the chemistry between the two quarterbacks was undeniable, and fans are eating it up.
Imagine this: Prescott nails the Jubi Slide as a touchdown celebration in the 2025 season. The internet would lose its collective mind, and Cowboys Nation would have a new viral moment to rally behind. Milton, it seems, isn’t just a backup QB—he’s a vibe curator, bringing a fresh energy to the team and resurrecting a dance that had its moment in the TikTok spotlight.

Beyond the dance floor, the Cowboys are banking on more than just viral moments. With the addition of star wide receiver George Pickens to the offense and a healthy Dak Prescott, the team is poised for a potential return to greatness. Prescott, who has flirted with NFL MVP honors in the past, could rediscover his elite form with this revamped roster. If Milton’s infectious energy and Pickens’ playmaking ability are any indication, Dallas is in for an exciting season—both on the field and, apparently, in the dance circle.
For now, Milton’s unexpected role as Prescott’s dance coach has given fans a glimpse of the fun, camaraderie, and personality within this Cowboys squad. Whether he’s throwing darts or teaching the Jubi Slide, Joe Milton III is proving he’s a star in the making. Keep your eyes on Dallas—this team is ready to make waves, one viral moment at a time.
