Leisha Lightbody and Reiss Boyce are the latest couple to join the series 10 cast of Married At First Sight UK. The duo have recently exchanged vows, but their romance hasn’t been smooth sailing, with Leisha revealing that she experienced a “gut instinct” whilst on their honeymoon that Reiss wasn’t entirely committed.
The 31-year-old has been providing her followers with regular updates on Instagram as her MAFS experience plays out on E4 and has spoken about a particular scene where she questions Reiss about whether he feels fortunate to be wed to her and probes him about his feelings, a discussion Leisha described as leaving her “literally mortified,” and “embarrassed”.
Posting a snippet of the conversation during their honeymoon in Bangkok, Leisha confessed: “Tonight’s episode was hard to watch, seeing my insecurities play out on TV isn’t easy, but my heart was in the right place, even when things felt hot and cold.”

Adding to her Story, Leisha remarked: “Guys, I’m literally mortified, your girl’s insecurities were for sure coming out in that clip, obviously girls we know… You get that intuition that somebody’s just not feeling it, and I think I was pushing and pushing and pushing and pushing it. It was like a gut instinct.
“I’m so embarrassed, but you know what? I just went for it. I was there to get married, I thought, ‘I’m just going to go for it.’ In normal life, you probably wouldn’t ask those questions, but I thought, ‘This isn’t normal life, I’m married.’ And if something is off, something is off. And you should always be treated like a princess, in my opinion. Please be kin,d guys.'”, reports OK!.
Since then, the couple have experienced more turbulent times, but what’s the current status of their relationship?

After feeling an initial spark when they first met at the altar, the newlyweds had a disagreement at their wedding reception. Reiss later told the cameras: “She’s quite loud, a little bit over the top, that could drive me round the bend a bit,” while Leisha was left worried her new husband wasn’t into her after he gave her a peck on the cheek after exchanging vows.
Their honeymoon wasn’t without its hitches either, after a stray dog bit Leisha on the face, necessitating injections to prevent an infection, while her doubts about whether Reiss was interested in her continued to mount.
The couple also found themselves in the limelight at their first Dinner Party, after Reiss explained to the group that he felt disrespected when Leisha spoke to another man for over an hour during their flight home.

Leisha, speaking about her experience on social media, admitted to feeling “very alone” and “very nervous” during the Dinner Party, but expressed gratitude towards her female co-stars.
The couple has also shared some tender moments, with Leisha revealing that Reiss teaches her how to slow down, and Reiss reciprocating by saying that Leisha is easy to live with.
While it’s uncertain whether Reiss and Leisha will make it to the Final Vows, they do follow each other on Instagram, which is often a positive indication.
