In a heart-pounding penultimate episode of Celebrity Traitors, the castle’s shadows grew darker as one beloved star met a savage end in plain sight, while another was banished amid fiery accusations. With the final looming, the remaining players clawed their way to survival—only for the Traitors to strike ruthlessly, leaving fans reeling and the prize pot tantalizingly close.

The drama ignited early with the brutal murder of fan favorite Celia Imrie. During a celebratory dinner party honoring the recent capture of Traitor Jonathan Ross, host Claudia Winkleman introduced a wicked twist: a murder in plain sight. Traitor Alan Carr, the comedic mastermind turned killer, seized the moment with a toast reminiscing about his bond with Stephen Fry. “Parting is such sweet sorrow, Celia,” he declared—sealing the Calendar Girls star’s fate.

As Celia entered the diary room and spotted the ominous letter, her face fell. “Oh, Lord, this is not a very good sign. Am I dead?” The note confirmed: Dear Celia, by order of the Traitors, you have been murdered yesterday. The Traitors murdered you in plain sight. Devastated, she reflected: “Oh, honestly, just because I was brave enough to get the one Traitor out, what a mean one. I love being here. It’s been gorgeous, and I’m devastated. I so wanted to stay till the end, but it’s a game.”

The loss hit hard, especially for former rugby star Joe Marler. “I miss her already. My darling Celia is gone. My heart is broken,” he fumed. “It’s just made me want to get the Traitors even harder. I’m sick of this. They are taking out some lovely, lovely people. I’m not having it anymore. I need to get the Traitors gone, gone, gone.”

Before the murder, the six remaining players tackled a high-stakes mission in a laser-filled room lined with eerily inaccurate busts of all eliminated contestants. Dodging beams to place the heads on statues, they succeeded—boosting the prize pot—but erupted in laughter at the botched likenesses. Alan quipped of Clare Balding’s sculpture: “Clare looks like Boris Johnson.”

Tensions exploded at the final roundtable, where accusations flew like daggers. Historian David Olusoga and broadcaster Kate Garraway clashed fiercely. Kate defended her earlier suspicions of David: “Only because I was trying to bring something useful to the table. It’s my job… I was just the only one that was brave enough to raise it.”
David fired back: “It did [evaporate]. The person who was most insistent on trying to explore it at the next table was you.” He admitted patronizingly: “Well, that’s exactly what I’m doing… That’s what we are supposed to be doing. We’re stating a fact because that’s how you have conversations.”
Votes sealed Kate’s fate. Nick Mohammad targeted Cat Burns; David and Cat voted Kate; Alan and Kate chose David. Joe Marler cast the deciding blow against Kate, banishing the player frequently branded “useless” throughout the series.
In her emotional exit speech, Kate revealed herself as a Faithful: “I’ve had a lot of years of being very serious, very sad, and you’ve all allowed me to play the most amazing game… You’ve allowed me to play and be silly and have fun. Every single one of you I’m going to take away a new idea and the start of a new kind of life, really… I have and always have been totally myself, a Faithful.”
Fans on X erupted in jubilation: “Kate is gone at last”; “The scapegoat is gone!!!!”; “Finally Kate is gone”; “Kate entirely brought this on herself by bringing up her own name all day.” Some praised her endurance: “Honestly have no idea how Kate made it this far but we love you diva”; “Considering Kate was suspected of being a Traitor from almost day 1 and has seemingly been completely clueless throughout, it’s a miracle she’s lasted this long. Well done!”

As the dust settled, Claudia gathered the survivors—Cat Burns, Alan Carr, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammad, and David Olusoga—at the fire pit. “You are the final five,” she announced. “Nobody will be getting murdered tonight.” Each was tasked with declaring, “I am a Faithful.”
Traitor Alan’s nervous laughter while fumbling the words raised alarms. Joe confided to cameras: “It’s just another confirmation of what I’m thinking already about Alan. He can’t even look us in the eyes and say I’m a Faithful. If that’s not a red flag, I don’t know what is.” The rugby ace also pinpointed Cat as a Traitor, plotting secretly: “My plan involves getting really close to Alan and Cat so they keep me in the game, and then I can try and pull the rug from under their feet at the last minute. Sorry, Traitors, I’m coming for you.”

With two Traitors lurking among the final five, Joe’s audacious scheme hangs in the balance. Will he unmask Alan and Cat, or will the killers claim victory? Tune in next Thursday for the explosive Celebrity Traitors finale!
