As Alex Scott battles it out in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle – currently the bookies’ favourite to be the first voted off tonight – the nation has been treated to the most heart-warming love story of the year.
The former Arsenal and England legend, 41, has been gloriously open about her relationship with Grammy-winning singer Jess Glynne, 36, and it turns out wedding bells are very much on the horizon.
In one of the camp’s sweetest moments, comedian Ruby Wax asked Alex straight-up: “Are you going to marry Jess?”
Alex didn’t hesitate. With a huge grin, she replied: “I will get married to her, just waiting for her to ask, Rubes!”
Cue the entire nation screaming at their televisions.
Jess, clearly watching every second from the UK, wasted no time. The very next day she told Hits Radio’s Tom Green that the “pressure is on” and casually dropped the bombshell: “I went to the shop straight after” hearing Alex’s confession.
Yes, Jess Glynne has already been ring shopping.
Appearing on This Morning just hours ago, the Hold My Hand singer was playfully grilled about the proposal. When asked if she’d bought the ring yet, Jess teased: “Yeah!” …No! The pressure! Why do I have to ask her? It’s a weird one, innit?” before adding with a cheeky hair flick, “You never know who will ask who…”
The couple, who have been together for two years, first locked eyes in iconic London hotspot Chiltern Firehouse. Alex revealed on the show: “Jess just walked straight up to me, really ballsy. I was like, ‘I like your ballsiness!’ The spark was instant and we fell madly in love.”
Since Alex entered the jungle, Jess has been her biggest cheerleader. At her Hits Radio Love 2025 gig, she whipped out a t-shirt emblazoned with “Alex for the win” and told the crowd: “We need to make Alex the queen, 100 per cent!”
And eagle-eyed viewers haven’t missed the secret love codes. On This Morning, hosts pointed out Alex keeps twiddling her necklace during live trials. When asked if it’s a message to Jess, the singer laughed: “Yeah… No, I don’t know!” before admitting, “I think it is a little bit. It’s cute!”
Whether Alex survives tonight’s public vote or heads straight into Jess’s arms at the jungle bridge, one thing is crystal clear: an engagement is coming – and it’s going to be beautiful.
