Save the Show! ‘Budget Cut’ Challenge Makes Jack Osbourne’s Win Too Easy – Fans Demand a REFUND!

It was meant to be another nail-biting Bushtucker Trial on *I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!*, but Wednesday night’s “Dangerous Discoveries” left viewers reaching for the remote instead of the edge of their seats. After Shona McGarty’s epic, big-budget nightmare the previous evening, fans were served what many are calling the dullest, cheapest-looking trial of the series – and they are NOT happy.

Jack Osbourne, living up to his “Jacquaman” legend, was tasked with digging through sandy “hell holes” on an archaeological site to unearth eight ancient coin stars in ten minutes. Strapped on his back for the first four holes and then set free for the second half, the trial sounded promising… until it began.

Yabbies, scorpions, toads, frilled lizards, baby crocs, spiders, snakes and – in a historic first – a ridge-tailed lizard (Dec: “He’s difficult to book!”) all made appearances. Yet despite the critter line-up, Jack breezed through, grabbing seven stars and only missing the final toad-hole coin because, well, he couldn’t be bothered to dig properly in the last minute.

Living up to his reputation as one of the stars to perform best in the trials, Jack won seven stars for the camp

“That was the worst dig in the sand I’ve ever had!” Jack laughed afterwards. Viewers, however, weren’t laughing.

X (formerly Twitter) erupted with fury:

– “NGL Jack’s trial was boring after the ones we’ve had this week”
– “Another boring, not hard trial in this year’s #ImACeleb. Jack not even challenged”
– “This is the dullest trial I’ve ever seen”
– “Either the budget has been slashed or the trial creative team have brain fog. Most trials this year are just ‘put hand in hole’ remixes”
– “They wasted the entire budget on Shona’s trial last night and gave Jack the Poundland version”
– “Most boring trial and he really made a meal of it for some reason – tarnishes his Jacquaman success!”

One fan summed up the mood perfectly: “The way Shona had the hardest trial last night whilst Jack has possibly the easiest trial of the series so far. Save the show!”

Even Ant and Dec’s banter couldn’t save it. When Dec quipped that Jack may have “found his nemesis – sand”, viewers rolled their eyes so hard they nearly needed medical attention.

With “hell holes” now appearing in almost every trial this year, fans are accusing ITV of recycling ideas faster than the camp recycles rice. If this is what passes for “dangerous discoveries” in 2025, perhaps it’s time the jungle got a serious budget injection – or at the very least, a new scriptwriter.

Jacquaman may have won seven stars for camp, but last night the real loser was the show itself. Over to you, ITV – the jungle jury has spoken. Refund, rethink, or risk losing the crown!
