In a bold show of solidarity, Ciara Miller has come to the defense of Venita Aspen amid growing tensions on *Southern Charm*. The drama unfolded after a TikTok user speculated that Craig Conover had attempted to get Venita removed from the show, allegedly because of her support for his ex-girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo.

The controversy ignited following a clip shared by influencer Josh the RHONY Stan, which highlighted comments made by Craig, 36, about Venita, 32, during his appearance on *Watch What Happens Live*. This came amid discussions about casting for *Southern Charm*’s upcoming season 11. In response, the 29-year-old *Summer House* star didn’t hold back, calling out not just Craig but the entire *Southern Charm* cast for their treatment of Venita. Adding her voice to the mix was *The Valley*’s Jasmine Goode, 38, who also chimed in with strong agreement.
Josh’s TikTok post on December 1 set the stage for the backlash. “I try to give grace to the women on this network since most of the audience doesn’t. I’m also always going to give grace to a Black woman who’s trying to succeed on a show that has the gender and racial dynamics of a 1950s sitcom,” he declared. He acknowledged that Craig had every right to feel upset about Venita siding with Paige during their split, but pointed out that Craig had never shown genuine interest in building a friendship with her from the start.

Josh then referenced Craig’s *WWHL* remarks, suggesting that his statement about no longer wanting to be associated with Venita was a calculated move to isolate her or even force her off the series.
The clip quickly gained traction, and as reposted by Brands by Bravo on Instagram, it drew a pointed response from Ciara in the comments. She accused the *Southern Charm* cast of silencing Venita and refusing to acknowledge her perspective. “Imagine being the only black girl on a predominantly white cast in the SOUTH. No one ever sees Venita’s side. And her cast only expects her to be submissive to their opinions and limelight. If a main cast ‘refuses’ to film with another main cast member; that’s code for trying to push them out. So yes, your entire analysis of situation is correct,” Ciara wrote, confirming Josh’s take and highlighting the deeper issues of race and power dynamics at play.

Jasmine Goode echoed the sentiment in the comments, simply stating, “This!!” accompanied by two clapping emojis, showing her full support for the analysis.
This incident sheds light on the ongoing challenges faced by Venita as one of the few Black cast members on a show set in the South, where interpersonal conflicts can quickly escalate into questions of inclusion and fairness. Fans are now watching closely to see how this plays out in season 11.
*Southern Charm* season 11 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
