The Dallas Cowboys have certainly had some solid games this season, looking back on the team’s November 23 win over the Philadelphia Eagles and Thanksgiving win over the Kansas City Chiefs, but they’re at less than a 1% chance of making the postseason, according to statistics from the NFL. At this point, it’s time for the Cowboys to regroup and get ready for next season, and that party means looking back at key decisions that were made this season, such as trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.
Following the Cowboys’ loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, December 14, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott opened up about the feeling of going from having a three-game winning streak to falling out of playoff contention.
“Yeah, definitely surprised,” Prescott told reporters, according to the team’s official website. “Especially after the bye week and the trades got rolling like we did for those few weeks, and then watch the confidence just skyrocket. [We] stopped teams from scoring at-will, coming back from 21 points. Just a lot of good wins there to be in this position.”
He added, “Just reminds you that every play matters. It’s a hard game. Those guys get paid too. They practice throughout the week and prepare no differently than we do. It’s tough. I’m definitely surprised, hurt, pissed off, frustrated, but all I can do is get better tomorrow.”
