BREAKING: Yankees Escape the Dodgers’ Scythe But May Lose 2 Key Pillars Forever!

The New York Yankees managed to avoid a sweep in their World Series rematch against the Los Angeles Dodgers this weekend at Dodger Stadium. After dropping Games 1 and 2 on Friday and Saturday, the Yankees fought back in Game 3, securing a 7–3 victory on Sunday evening. However, the win came at a potential cost, with injuries to two key players casting a shadow over the triumph.

In the fifth inning, left fielder Jasson Dominguez appeared to injure his hand while attempting to steal second base. The team later diagnosed it as a left thumb contusion. Dominguez stayed in the game long enough to score but was replaced by Cody Bellinger shortly after. Post-game, the 22-year-old spoke to reporters, downplaying the injury and stating he was “not too concerned” about his thumb. Yankees manager Aaron Boone, however, offered no definitive update on Dominguez’s condition, leaving fans and analysts awaiting further news.

Dominguez wasn’t the only Yankee dealing with an injury. Reliever Luke Weaver, slated to pitch the ninth inning, was unexpectedly replaced by Tim Hill. Boone later revealed that Weaver “felt something” in his hamstring, raising concerns about his availability moving forward. No further details were provided on either player’s status, but the Yankees are hopeful both can avoid a stint on the injured list (IL).

With a day off on Monday, the Yankees now turn their focus to a home series against the Cleveland Guardians, starting Tuesday, June 3. The team will be holding its breath, hoping that Dominguez and Weaver can return to full strength and avoid long-term absences that could derail their season.
