COMPLETE SHOCK! Strictly Star Breaks Down After ‘Disastrous’ Bottom-Two Finish, Revealing Heartbreaking Pain They ‘Couldn’t Put Into Words’

A Strictly Come Dancing star has shared the hidden heartbreak he went through as well as landing in bottom two. Julian Caillon is currently competing on his first ever Strictly series after joining as a professional this year.

He is still in the programme but has had his fair share of ups and downs with his partner EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal. The pair have landed themselves in the bottom two four times but managed to survive.

But this isn’t the only difficulty Julian has been through as he also had to deal with a family situation last week. The 29-year-old took to his Instagram to reveal that his grandmother had died.

The dancer shared an image of a coffin being laid to rest as he wrote alongside: “Fly high mamie Micheline.” Fans of the dancer took to Reddit to talk about the sad news as well as discussing Julian and Balvinder’s four times in the bottom two.

One person said: “Thoughts are with Julian, hopefully he’s doing ok and looking after himself. Grieving whilst in such a high pressure and competitive job must be difficult.

“I guess this explains why he said after he and Bal’s American Smooth that that week had been very hard for him, but Bal had been a rock for him. I’m sure his grandmother be proud of him being on Strictly and doing so well in his first year.”

While another added: “Awww! Poor Julian. This explains what he was talking about when he said it was a hard week. I hope he’s got a lot of support around him.

“So glad he’s got Bal as a partner. She’s going to be such a rock for him especially since she went through something similar last year.”

“It must be difficult for him to be grieving thousands of miles away from his family. I wish him well,” one pointed out. While another then discussed that there was no dance-off during Blackpool week.

They wrote: “I’m sure the no elimination week was what he needed, what with so much going on in his personal life. I remember Balvinder speaking about losing her mother just last year in a VT before one of their dances, so I’m sure she’s just the partner he needs right now. Their friendship seems very sweet and genuine.”

Julian and Balvinder haven’t had the easiest Strictly journey, finding themselves in four dance-offs. However, many fans have said it doesn’t seem fair and the pair were “robbed” last weekend when they were at the bottom of the leaderboard.

The couple danced an Argentine Tango to The Logical Song by Supertramp. The judges seemed to enjoy the actress’ routines as she was thrown in the air and hit each beat.

However, they were left with three eights and a nine which meant they got 33 points. This would usually be a respectable score but Lewis Cope got full marks and George Clarke was given three 10s and one nine.
