HISTORIC BACKSTAB: Celebrity Traitors Fans Spot a Devastated Claudia Winkleman, Looking Ready to ‘Rip Her Mic Off’ Over The Faithfuls’ Unbelievably Bad Move!

In a dramatic turn of events on Thursday’s episode of Celebrity Traitors, fans were left reeling as the faithfuls made yet another catastrophic misstep, banishing one of their own and leaving host Claudia Winkleman visibly exasperated. The latest casualty was Line of Duty star Mark Bonnar, whose departure from the castle sparked an outpouring of frustration from viewers and, seemingly, Claudia herself.

The episode featured a nail-biting round table where the faithfuls found themselves at a deadlock, splitting their votes equally between Mark Bonnar and historian David Olusoga. With no clear resolution, Claudia intervened, introducing the show’s first-ever tie-break mechanism: the Chest of Chance. In a tense moment, Mark and David were each presented with a chest—one containing a shield to protect them from banishment, the other empty. As the pair opened their chests, David emerged safe, while Mark’s empty chest sealed his fate.

The revelation that Mark had been a faithful throughout the game left the remaining players stunned and fans devastated. Taking to X, viewers expressed their dismay, with one writing, “Claudia, absolutely seething at the faithfuls,” while another noted, “Why’s Claudia about to cry?” Some even speculated that Claudia was on the verge of a breakdown, with comments like, “Sort of want them to banish another faithful so we can witness Claudia have a nervous breakdown,” and “It’s gotten so bad even Claudia is begging for them to catch a traitor.”

With traitors Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, and Cat Burns still evading detection, the faithfuls’ inability to identify a single traitor by the sixth episode out of nine has left fans and Claudia increasingly frustrated. “You get the feeling Claudia is getting a little annoyed at the faithful. I can understand why,” one viewer posted on X. Another added, “Faithfuls, you are breaking Claudia’s poor heart!!!”

Mark’s exit, decided by the unprecedented Chest of Chance, was a heart-wrenching moment for the actor. Reflecting on his departure, he shared, “Having that roundtable decided by the Chest of Chance was very dramatic and it was very emotional. I got so caught up in it all, but I hope it was a good TV moment. Even though I was sad to go, I thought, well, they’ve never done that before!” He expressed hope that David, now confirmed as a faithful, would continue to be an asset to the group, though he doubted suspicions about him would dissipate.

Looking back on his time in the game, Mark admitted he might have played things differently. “I would have played it slightly differently with hindsight; not being quite so involved, not being quite so enthusiastic, wide-eyed, and forthcoming with theories,” he said. He recalled Claudia’s advice to “keep your eyes open at all times,” admitting that his overt observance of others might have painted a target on his back.

As the traitors continue to outwit the faithfuls, fans are left wondering if Claudia’s patience will hold out—or if she’ll indeed “rip her mic off” in frustration. With only three episodes remaining, the pressure is on for the faithfuls to turn the tide before it’s too late.
