Has Hoda Kotb had a change of heart?
As Perezcious readers know, Kelly Clarkson‘s daytime talk show has had a lot of questions surrounding it as of late. Earlier this year, the Since U Been Gone singer disappeared from her job as host for several weeks, and she still hasn’t explained what happened — though it sounds like something big has been going on behind the scenes. Since then, rumors have stirred that the American Idol alum is DONE with the show and does not plan to re-sign her contract when it expires next year.
The rumor mill has been swirling with speculation about who might replace Kelly if she really walks, and NBC personality Hoda has been on the top of the list to take over the show. But just last week, it seemed like the Joy 101 founder made it clear she didn’t have any interest in returning to television unless it would be coming back into her former role on The Today Show. But did she already change her mind?!

Those rumors Hoda shut down came back up during her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live — and she had a totally different response. On Thursday, the 60-year-old was asked by an audience member if “starting a daytime talk show” is something she’d “ever consider doing” — and her answer was very telling. She dished:
“Okay, first of all … Kelly, I feel like is in a class all by herself. I mean, my whole thing with talk shows and all that stuff is that I’m a ‘never say never’ person. You don’t know what life is gonna bring you.”
OMG!
She went on to clarify:
“At this moment, I’m having so much fun with the ride that I’m on, but TV is my first love. So, as I say in life, ‘you don’t know.’”
