The Dallas Cowboys concluded their mandatory minicamp on Thursday, June 12, at The Star in Frisco, Texas, with a significant morale boost from superstar defender Micah Parsons. Despite ongoing contract discussions, Parsons remained focused, showcasing his unwavering commitment to the team.
Parsons attended every day of minicamp, fulfilling his promise to show up ready to work. On Tuesday, he opted for a lengthy on-field conversation with team owner Jerry Jones instead of participating in drills. By Wednesday, he took part in individual drills but sat out team activities. However, on Thursday, Parsons stepped up, fully participating in the team’s walkthrough, proving his dedication.

“Cowboys held a walk-through for their final minicamp availability. Micah Parsons was a full participant,” Jon Machota of The Athletic reported on X. “Trevon Diggs worked on resistance cords.”
Throughout minicamp, Parsons demonstrated his loyalty to the Cowboys, making it clear he wants to stay with the team long-term. The ball is now in Jerry Jones’ court, as Parsons has consistently shown up and put in the work.
Last season, Parsons recorded 12 sacks and 43 tackles, joining an elite group of NFL legends—Dwight Freeney, Derrick Thomas, and Reggie White—as the only players to achieve at least 10 sacks in each of their first four seasons. Over his four-year career, Parsons has amassed 256 tackles, 52.5 sacks, 63 tackles for a loss, and 112 quarterback hits, solidifying his undeniable impact on the Cowboys’ defense.
Parsons’ performance at minicamp sends a clear message: he’s worth every penny the Cowboys have invested in him and more.
