Kenya Moore Sued for $30K by Landlord – She Fires Back with Countersuit Amid Eviction Threat!

Kenya Moore, the 54-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star, is locked in a heated legal battle with her landlord over her Chamblee, Georgia-based business, Kenya Moore Hair Spa. The drama unfolded in April 2025 when Northland Chamblee, LLC, the property owner, slapped Moore’s company, Moore Vision Media, with a lawsuit and an eviction notice, alleging unpaid rent and expenses totaling nearly $30,000. But Kenya isn’t backing down—she’s hitting back with a bold countersuit, claiming the landlord owes her a staggering $89,000.

According to court documents, Northland Chamblee, LLC, which owns The Deco at 5211, demanded $21,897 for five months of unpaid rent, plus $5,909 in operating expenses. They also sought future rent at a rate of $149.98 per day, painting a dire picture for Moore’s hair salon. The eviction filing sent shockwaves through social media, with reports swirling that the salon has appeared “empty” in recent weeks, fueling speculation about its future.

Not one to shy away from a fight, Kenya took the battle to court in June, filing a countersuit against the landlord. In her filing, she accused Northland Chamblee, LLC of breaching their contract and demanded over $89,000 in damages, including compensation for legal fees. The hefty sum pushed the case beyond the jurisdiction of Magistrate Court, prompting both parties to agree to escalate the dispute to Superior Court for a full showdown.

In a video shared alongside the court documents, Kenya broke her silence on the matter, shedding light on the root of the conflict. “I had a dispute with the landlord,” she explained. “The landlord hasn’t given me back my TIA—that’s tenant improvement allowance. I was allotted $79,000-some-hundred dollars to improve this place. I built an entire second floor. I have not gotten a penny back from that.” She went on to describe the standoff: “If I’m not paying rent and they’re not paying me TIA, we’re at an impasse. So something has got to give.”

Kenya remained defiant, vowing to push forward regardless of the outcome. “Whether that means I’m gonna be in here next year, next month, next week, we’ll see,” she said. “But I’m just going to climb, regardless of whether I’m here or not.”

As the legal saga continues to unfold, all eyes are on Kenya Moore and her next move. Will she secure her salon’s future, or will this high-stakes dispute force her to pivot? One thing’s for sure—this Real Housewives star is ready to fight for what’s hers.
