LIVERPOOL, I’M COMING! Marc Guehi’s MAJOR Transfer Hint SENDS Shockwaves Ahead of January!

In a bombshell revelation that’s set the football world ablaze, Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi has dropped what many are interpreting as a massive hint about his future – and it points straight to Anfield! The England international, whose deadline-day move to Liverpool dramatically collapsed over the summer, spoke candidly about the saga, invoking divine intervention and leaving fans speculating that a January switch could be on the cards.

The 25-year-old defender, who has been a standout performer for both club and country, watched his £35 million transfer to the Reds fall apart when Palace couldn’t secure a replacement in time. With his contract at Selhurst Park expiring at the end of the season, Guehi has already made it clear he won’t be signing a new deal, opening the door for a potential free transfer in the summer. But Europe’s top clubs – including Liverpool – can start pre-contract negotiations as early as January 1, and Guehi’s latest comments have Reds supporters buzzing with excitement.

Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports News, Guehi reflected on the failed move with a calm assurance that has only fueled the transfer rumors. “I think everyone has this perception that it was difficult. Actually, it wasn’t difficult at all,” he said. “Because when you’re focused on what’s the most important thing, it becomes easy. I know that God has a plan for me, and whatever that plan will be, will come into fruition at some point.”

That phrase – “God has a plan for me” – is being hailed by Liverpool fans as a subtle nod to destiny pulling him towards Anfield. After all, with Virgil van Dijk’s contract situation uncertain and the Reds looking to bolster their defensive ranks under Arne Slot, Guehi fits the bill perfectly as a young, Premier League-proven talent with international pedigree. His composure under pressure, leadership qualities, and ability to play out from the back make him an ideal long-term partner for Ibrahima Konate or successor to Van Dijk.

But Guehi didn’t stop there. He went on to praise his current teammates at Palace, including new signing Maxence Lacroix, while emphasizing his focus on football: “The goal and the focus has always been playing football and trying to do the best I can. And fortunately for me, I get to do it with people like Max.” Yet, with Palace facing the risk of losing their skipper for nothing if they don’t sell in January, the pressure is mounting on chairman Steve Parish to cash in – potentially paving the way for Liverpool to swoop in mid-season.

Adding a fascinating layer to the story is Guehi’s deep faith, which he shares with several Palace teammates. The defender, whose father is a church minister, revealed details about the team’s Christian prayer meetings, which began last season during their impressive FA Cup run. Joined by Lacroix, a fellow devout Christian who initiated pre-match prayers after joining from Wolfsburg in August 2024, Guehi explained how their shared beliefs have strengthened the squad.

“Yeah, we started last year,” Lacroix shared. “We have a lot of Christians here, so why don’t we put games in the hands of God, of Jesus Christ? At first it was complicated, but after two or three games, we started to see the fruits. Last year was an unbelievable season, and everyone saw that we had the grace on us. So we said: ‘Okay, let’s play for Jesus Christ.’ And this is what we do.”

Guehi echoed his teammate’s sentiments: “We have faith in Jesus Christ. It’s about exercising our faith. Even at the beginning, it was tough, but we continued praying and having that fellowship. The results came, but it’s not even about that. It’s about being together with your brothers, showing that faith, and playing for his glory – whether things are going well or not.”

This spiritual side of Guehi adds an intriguing dimension to his potential move. Liverpool, a club with a rich history of resilient comebacks and “miracle” moments (think Istanbul 2005), could see Guehi’s faith-driven mindset as a perfect cultural fit. With Mohamed Salah’s future uncertain amid interest from Saudi Arabia and injury concerns mounting – including recent worries after the Leeds clash that have ruled out three players – the Reds need reinforcements to maintain their title charge.

As January approaches, the vultures are circling Selhurst Park. Arsenal, Manchester United, and other elites are monitoring the situation, but Liverpool’s previous interest gives them pole position. If Guehi’s “plan” truly aligns with a move to Merseyside, it could be the blockbuster transfer that shakes up the Premier League mid-season.

One thing’s for sure: Marc Guehi’s words have sent shockwaves through the football community. Is he subtly signaling, “Liverpool, I’m coming”? Only time – and perhaps a higher power – will tell. Stay tuned as the January window heats up!
