We’ve spent the majority of this week hastily getting to know all the new Married At First Sight brides and grooms before we’re suddenly bombarded with a dozen or so brand new Big Brother housemates we’re paid to obsess over here at heat Towers. It’s a hard job, but somebody’s got to do it.
One of those MAFS UK 2025 brides is Leigh Harris. Okay, before we go any further, MAFS spoilers ahead…

Leigh has been matched with Leah Marie Tyrer from Liverpool. Unfortunately, their relationship quickly became tense and akws after Leigh expressed discomfort and uncertainty after meeting Leah for the first time at the the altar – and she was not subtle).
Specifically, Leigh admitted Leah’s more ‘femme’ presentation didn’t match her preference for someone with more ‘masculine energy’.

Leah, in turn, admitted to feeling apprehensive about the pairing by the experts, despite clearly being attracted to Leigh. So awks.
During their wedding and accompanying photo shoot, Leigh refused to kiss Leah (even on the cheek) and stressed that she wanted to spend the wedding night alone. This behaviour was seen by many viewers as ‘cold’ and dismissive, leading to a fair bit of social media backlash against Leigh – although boundary setting from day one as you navigate new feelings? Seems valid to us.
