Jonathan Ross has been slapped with a strict gag order by Celebrity Traitors producers after accidentally spilling explosive behind-the-scenes secrets about the BBC’s star-studded game show.
The 64-year-old host revealed that bosses swiftly issued him and the cast a lengthy list of forbidden topics following his on-air slip-up about “brilliant” scenes that were axed from the final edit.
“I’m not allowed to talk about the stuff that’s edited out, which I can understand why,” Ross admitted on his Reel Talk podcast. “When I started talking about it last week, they sent us all a kind of list saying, ‘Just to remind you, these are the things in your contracts you’re not allowed to talk about.’”
He stressed that he would “skirt around it as much as possible and not break any rules,” acknowledging that the restrictions exist “to protect the integrity of the game as a viewing experience for people.”
The crackdown came after Ross teased that comedian Alan Carr delivered “so many funny things” that were cut, including moments he believed “should have been the first episode.” He even hinted at a major later event involving Carr—described as “Alan Carr gold”—that never made the broadcast.
As one of the three Traitors alongside singer Cat Burns and Carr, Ross has helped orchestrate a ruthless reign of terror. After six episodes, 10 Faithfuls have been banished or murdered without a single Traitor being exposed—making this the worst-performing group of Faithfuls in Traitors history.
The carnage continues: comedians Lucy Beaumont and Nick Mohammed, plus Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, are all in the firing line, with another Faithful set to be “murdered” in plain sight this week.
