The SHOCKING Behind-the-Scenes of ‘Married at First Sight UK’ No One Expected: ICE-COLD Dinners, FAKE Romance, and 12-Hour Days of BURN-OUT!

Married at First Sight UK’s Maeve Mathieson has hinted she has “so much tea” to spill following her husband’s abrupt change of heart as she reveals what it’s really like at the dinner parties.

Maeve and her partner Joe Wood quickly became fan favourites on the popular E4 dating show, with their relationship seemingly growing stronger despite initial hurdles.

However, this week saw a dramatic twist when Joe, 31, unexpectedly decided to leave the filming, leaving Maeve to return to their vacant flat, causing concern among Married At First Sight viewers. The future for the couple remains uncertain, but Maeve has suggested she has some juicy details to reveal.

In a Q&A session on her Instagram stories today (October 17), Maeve responded to fans’ queries about the show, reports OK!.

When asked if there was anything she wished had been aired, she tantalisingly replied: “This is a really, really, really good one is there anything you wish was shown on TV that wasn’t shown?”.

“Like I have got so much tea that I could spill and tell you guys. But I’m just waiting for the right timing. I’m just waiting for the right timing to drop everything.”

While it’s unclear what this ‘tea’ might be, fans are undoubtedly on edge as they wait for the reveal.

Maeve also shed light on the reality of the dinner parties, revealing that they film for approximately 12 hours, a stark contrast to the one hour that is broadcast on TV.

She said: “So at the dinner parties right, you guys only see what like an hour and they’re actually like 12 hours long so by the time that we’ve done the mixer then we’ve had a break and whatever, then you walk actually into the dinner party, the food’s cold.

“To be honest, it’s mostly there for show. Like it’s cold chicken, cold veg, edible food but cold food. I mostly just ate bread rolls and butter.”

She revealed the cast would frequently throw bread rolls at each other “because we’d be hungry”, which naturally doesn’t make it onto screens.

Maeve’s behind-the-scenes insights in real time could apply to anyone featured on the programme. This comes after the series has already delivered its fair share of drama, from heated confrontations to unexpected departures.

Most recently, Maeve was left upset after coming back from her group excursion to discover Joe had left.

Joe had confessed his genuine feelings to fellow participant Ashley, who was taken aback by the unexpected admission.

He said: “I feel like me and Maeve have been in this bubble and I’ve been in denial about all the differences we actually have. How maybe we’re not compatible, but because we’ve been in this bubble I’ve ignored it all.”

Nevertheless, the closing moments of the episode hinted at his comeback, suggesting he hadn’t departed permanently.
