Liverpool is back in Premier League action this weekend as it looks to give its Champions League hopes a boost at Nottingham Forest.
The Reds face a fight to qualify for Europe’s top table, given they are lagging behind both Manchester United and Chelsea in the race for the top five, which looks as though it should be enough again this season.
Cameras were present at the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday as Arne Slot and his players continue their preparations for the weekend trip to Forest, with an update being given on one player as the Reds keep their fingers crossed for some good news on the injury front.

Jeremie Frimpong
There was no sign of Jeremie Frimpong as Sky Sports’ cameras were present for training on Wednesday. In fairness, the Dutchman isn’t expected back so soon, even if his injury might not be as bad as first feared.
Frimpong of course had to limp off just a few minutes into Liverpool’s Champions League clash against Qarabag, having picked up a muscle injury.
Having not been involved in training on Wednesday, it looks unlikely he’ll be back in time to face Forest on Sunday, with the game at home to West Ham potentially his next target.

Alexander Isak
Alexander Isak remains out, but has been seen at the AXA Training Centre recently as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.

The striker was seen last week kicking a ball for the first time since being forced off against Tottenham in December, signifying a major milestone in his recovery.
He is still some way off a return to action, which should hopefully come before the end of the season, with Isak yet to return to the grass or join in with the rest of his teammates’ sessions.

Wataru Endo
Wataru Endo’s season may be over after he was stretchered off against Sunderland. The midfielder, covering at right-back at the time, looked to land awkwardly on his ankle, and though he attempted to play on, he looks set for a long lay-off.
Slot is still keeping his fingers crossed that Endo will be able to play again this season, although no timeline has been placed on his recovery, with one injury expert suggesting he could face a race against time for a comeback.

Conor Bradley
Conor Bradley’s season is already over, with the right-back facing a race to be fit in time for the World Cup should Northern Ireland make it there.
Bradley’s nation faces a play-off against Italy next month, with the winner facing either Wales or Bosnia and Herzegovina for a place at this summer’s tournament.
The right-back will certainly miss those games, and he is not expected to be back for Liverpool until next season, having undergone surgery after a serious knee injury at Arsenal.
Possible return date: 2026/27 season
Giovanni Leoni
Like Bradley, Giovanni Leoni is expected to miss the rest of the season, although the young Italian has been seen in videos from the training ground recently.
He still has a long way to go in his rehab after needing surgery, having ruptured his ACL on his Liverpool debut against Southampton back in September.
