In a dramatic turn behind the scenes of Celebrity Traitors, show bosses have issued a stern warning to the star-studded cast after TV presenter Jonathan Ross accidentally spilled forbidden details, prompting an emergency reminder about strict spoiler rules.

Speaking on his podcast Reel Talk, co-hosted with daughter Honey Kinny Ross, the 64-year-old admitted he unknowingly breached confidentiality by gushing over unaired footage of comedian Alan Carr. “There are so many funny things he did and said which I know already should have been in the first episode which weren’t,” Ross revealed. “There’s something that happens later on which should be in, but isn’t in. It’s like there’s this Alan Carr gold waiting out there to be spun into something.”
His enthusiasm quickly backfired. Just days later, production sent the entire cast a pointed memo titled: “Just to remind you – these are the things in your contracts you’re not allowed to talk about.”
Ross confessed the slip-up made watching the show “nerve-wracking,” especially the round tables. “A lot of stuff is edited out and I’m not allowed – I didn’t realise but I’m not allowed to talk about the stuff that’s edited out,” he said. “There’s a fairly comprehensive list, and most of it I can see is to protect the integrity of the game as a viewing experience for people, so it makes perfect sense.”
He promised to “skirt around it” in future discussions to avoid further trouble.
The incident comes amid rising tensions in the castle. Body language expert Judi James analyzed Thursday’s episode and declared Ross and fellow contestant Cat Burns are now locked in a silent war. “Their body language was subtle but revealing, proving they both now recognise they are enemies,” James said. “The masks never came off. They surveyed each other without any signals of relief, ignoring Alan to stare at each other. Jonathan performed a thin ‘smile’ of recognition, which was returned by Cat. No pretence – but no open declarations of war.”
On-screen drama reached fever pitch last week with an unprecedented tie at the roundtable between actor Mark Bonnar and historian David Olusoga. After two deadlocked votes, host Claudia Winkleman introduced the Chest of Chance twist – one shield, one empty box. Fate sided against Bonnar, who was banished after drawing the dud.
In a double blow, comedian Joe Wilkinson was murdered overnight by the Traitors, and the group later voted to exile national treasure Stephen Fry.
With leaks, rivalries, and random banishments shaking the game, Celebrity Traitors bosses are now on high alert – determined to stop any “rogue traitor” from spoiling the suspense.
