Married At First Sight UK’s Maeve shared a cryptic message following husband Joe suddenly had a change of heart about their relationship.
Maeve, 29, and Joe, 31, initially had a rocky start to their relationship but they have since managed to sort things out and have since appeared to be the perfect couple.
We’re now halfway through the experiment and things have become too much for Joe as he decided to abruptly leave the show, forcing Maeve to return to an empty apartment.
During Wednesday’s (October 16) episode the couples were separated and placed into two groups for the day, One half enjoyed a luxury spa, meanwhile the others headed out for some cocktails.

The time apart has given the couples the opportunity to open up and it’s clear tension is brewing between Maeve and Joe.
Joe wasted no time expressing his true feeling about his marriage to fellow groom Ashley, who was left shocked at the revelation.
“I haven’t been my full self this week. I’ve got a lot of stuff going on at home and my grandad just died, which doesn’t help at all,” Joe explained to Ashley.
He explained: “I feel like me and Maeve have been in this bubble and I’ve been in denial about all the differences we actually have. How maybe we’re not compatible, but because we’ve been in this bubble I’ve ignored it all.”

Ashley called into question whether Joe still stood by telling Maeve that he loved her. “I do love her in a way, but am I truly head over heels truly in love? Probably not,” he replied.
Joe then made the decision to take a break from the show and left without saying goodbye to Maeve. The end of the episode teased his return, assuring fans he hadn’t left for good.
Now, after the scenes aired, Maeve has broken her silence with a cryptic post and it’s clear the sudden U-turn came as a surprise to her.

Posting to her Instagram Stories, the bride can be seen eating a cheese string in bed with a sound over the clip that says: “I’m going to count to 10, text my therapist and try and have a great day.”
Alongside the snap, she wrote: “You really DO learn something new everyday”
Meanwhile Joe has also shared a post to social media as he told his followers: “REALITY CHECK. The MAFS bubble is a real thing, and it’s easy to forget about the real world.
“Receiving the news of a family passing was certainly a wake up call and put things into perspective. Balancing this with the MAFS life was something I found very difficult, and I appreciate the love and support”
