KATONA DROPS BOMBSHELL: The Heartbreaking Phrase From Ex Ryan Mahoney That Left Her in Tears!

Kerry Katona revealed the details behind her separation from former fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

The former Atomic Kittens star sat down with relationship guru Anna Williamson in the latest episode of Celebs Go Dating, alongside intimacy specialist Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn to discuss her past romantic relationships.

Since Dr Tara wasn’t acquainted with Kerry, the television personality recounted her entire dating history – beginning with the collapse of her marriage to Brian McFadden.

It was Kerry’s latest split from Ryan that brought her to tears. The couple got engaged in 2020 and parted ways in late 2024 after she mentioned a “breach of trust”.

This follows her revelation about her devastating health condition following her separation from her former fiancé.

Breaking down exactly why the duo chose to end their relationship, Kerry explained: “We were arguing quite a lot because he wasn’t there for me emotionally and that used to get to me.

“It’s the little things, just the little things that I want – I don’t want diamond rings,” whilst relationship mentor Anna nodded in agreement, reports the Mirror.

“So I kicked off, ‘That’s it, we’re done’, and he said, ‘Look, I just don’t know if I love you anymore,” the mother-of-five alleged he said. Seeking clarification, Anna enquired: “He said doesn’t think he loved you?”.

“He said to me he doesn’t think he loves me anymore, he doesn’t know what he wants,” Kerry claimed. “I was devastated.”

An astonished Dr Tara then informed Kerry it appeared as though she had endured “10 lifetimes of trauma”.

“But I’m really proud of myself because I got through it,” the star responded. Speaking directly to the camera, Kerry declared: “It’s all well and good being resilient, but it makes me quite sad that I’ve had to be so resilient.”

When the camera returned to Kerry, Anna and Dr Tara in Ibiza, the star became emotional as she shared: “I’ve never had anyone to look after me. I’ve had to be my own hero which I’m really proud of. But yeah, I struggle with that.”

It appears fortune favoured Kerry on her second attempt with the agency, as she seems to have discovered romance this time around.

Kerry developed a bond with Paolo Margaglione during her stint on the popular E4 programme, and it appears the couple have now progressed their relationship further.

An insider revealed to The Sun: “Paolo is already living in Kerry’s home – they’re together 24/7 so it just made sense for him to move in. Things are going really well between them!”.

During production of the series, Dr Tara informed the Mirror that viewers can anticipate Kerry opening up completely about her previous relationship.

“Lovely Kerry has an amazing story. People will really get to hear what has been happening since she last joined the agency. A lot has happened since she last joined,” she explained.

“She really is able to use our agency as a platform to tell us what truly happened and her narrative. She has had a very traumatic life but is in a very good place now to move forward with romance and dating.”
