The Traitors’ Star VANISHED on Finale Night: Alan Carr Admits He ‘Had to Flee’ the UK.

In a dramatic twist straight out of his own treacherous playbook, comedian Alan Carr has confessed to ditching the UK just before the explosive finale of Celebrity Traitors. The 49-year-old star, one of the last two Traitors standing, revealed he’s sought refuge in sunny Orlando, Florida, to escape the backlash from furious fans and fellow celebs. With the finale airing on Thursday, Alan’s getaway has everyone buzzing: is this the ultimate Traitor’s evasion tactic?

Spilling the beans during a lively chat with Heart radio hosts Olly Murs and Mark Wright from their pop-up studio, Alan didn’t hold back on the “hate” he’s been dodging. “I’m the most hated man in the UK,” he quipped with his signature wit. “I’ve had to come here to Orlando to get away from it. Everyone hates me!” He added, laughing, “I just needed to get away because it’s stressful murdering every day. My Christmas card list is getting smaller and smaller.”

The conversation took a playful turn when Olly suggested Alan hit up the Harry Potter world at Universal Studios for a Hogwarts cape—perfect for Halloween. Alan jumped in with enthusiasm: “Have you bought your Speedos for Volcano Bay? Well, I saw YouTube. I might wear them under me cloak!” Mark chimed in, noting the cloaks’ eerie resemblance to the show’s infamous Traitor garb. Undeterred, Alan envisioned himself zooming down the Volcano Bay water slide, cape billowing and lantern in hand. “I’ve come here for a break,” he joked, before mimicking outraged fans: “Oh Alan, have a day off!”

But Alan’s Orlando escape isn’t just about dodging virtual pitchforks—it’s also a breather from real-life drama stirred up by his in-show antics. The comedian has been making headlines for his fallout with singer Paloma Faith, whom he dramatically “murdered” as the first victim on the BBC hit. Speaking on his Life’s A Beach podcast with DJ Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim), Alan admitted the betrayal has strained their friendship. “I’m killing people willy-nilly—I’ve got a real taste for it. I killed Paloma Faith. She’s not happy about it,” he said.

When Norman probed about their pre-show bond—”Aren’t you mates with Paloma?”—Alan replied with a sigh: “Well, I was…” He revealed Paloma, 44 and pregnant at the time, was genuinely upset by the move. “She said, ‘If you were a real friend, you wouldn’t have killed me.’ But I said, ‘I’m the Traitor! The show’s called The Traitors—it does what it says on the tin.'” Alan noted her public jabs on TikTok, where she’s called him out for letting her down by “killing her in plain sight.”

Defending his choice—touching her face with pollen from a faux poisoned lily as per the game’s rules—Alan insisted it was all part of the fun. “It’s like going on Naked Attraction and being told, what, I have to take my knickers off? You know what you’re signing up for!” He joked about the alternatives: “I can’t start stroking Stephen Fry’s face and Celia Imrie’s—not at my age! I look creepy as it is.”

Despite the tension, Alan’s determined to patch things up with the Only Love Can Hurt Like This star. “I’m going to take her for dinner,” he shared. “I love her. I’m such a big fan of her and she’s the best, but no one wants to be murdered first on a show. I panicked.”

As the Celebrity Traitors finale looms, Alan’s stateside hideout adds another layer of intrigue to the already gripping series. Will he return triumphant, or has his “flee” sealed his fate? Fans will have to tune in to find out—but one thing’s clear: in the world of The Traitors, even the getaway is part of the game.
