BOMBSHELL IN NORTH LONDON! Arteta’s New General Drops 10 Goals & 7 Assists, Then Lifts Europa League Trophy – And He’s SNUBBING Man United for Arsenal!

Arsenal are being urged to go all out to secure the signature of Morgan Rogers this summer, with the exciting England international seen as the ideal player to take the Gunners’ attack to the next level. The 23-year-old is being advised to reject interest from Manchester United in favour of a move to the Emirates, where a clear pathway into Mikel Arteta’s starting XI awaits.

Rogers has enjoyed a superb breakout campaign at Aston Villa, registering an impressive 17 goal contributions (10 goals and 7 assists) across 37 appearances in all competitions. His form culminated in a historic moment as he helped Villa lift the Europa League title, scoring in the final as they defeated Freiburg 3-0. The victory marked Villa’s first major European trophy since their 1982 European Cup triumph.

Despite the prospect of Champions League football at Villa Park next season, Rogers has emerged as one of the most sought-after young talents in the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Manchester United linked with serious bids. Reports suggest any potential transfer could command a fee in excess of £100 million.

However, respected journalist Henry Winter has cast doubt on whether Rogers would thrive at Old Trafford. Speaking on Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast, Winter questioned the forward’s role in Ruben Amorim’s squad:

“If you’ve got [Matheus] Cunha on the left, got [Bryan] Mbeumo on the right, [Benjamin] Sesko seems to be developing post-injury, and you got Bruno Fernandes behind them, and then a combination of [Kobbie] Mainoo behind… where does he play for Manchester United?”

ESPN’s Sam Tighe echoed these concerns, suggesting that while depth is important, a £80-100 million signing would expect guaranteed minutes. Tighe highlighted the difference in opportunities between the two clubs:

“I think this is why Rogers should go to Arsenal and play on the left wing, because I think the opening is there… I think he, Rogers, looks like an Arteta player, and I think there is an opening on the left wing there for him.”

Tighe also drew comparisons to the squad depth required at the highest level, noting how top clubs like PSG utilise high-quality options from the bench.

Arsenal’s Strategic Shift

According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have intensified their pursuit of Rogers and are now prioritising him above several other targets, including Anthony Gordon, Nico Williams, Rafael Leao, Bradley Barcola, and Yan Diomande. The Gunners are particularly attracted to the youngster’s versatility, athleticism, and ability to operate effectively across multiple attacking and midfield positions.

Internally, Arsenal view Rogers as a long-term solution to their recurring issues on the left side of attack. With Leandro Trossard having occupied that role towards the end of the season, there appears to be a genuine opportunity for Rogers to establish himself as a key figure under Arteta.

Villa manager Unai Emery is determined to keep Rogers, viewing him as a cornerstone of the club’s future. However, the club’s financial situation may make it difficult to reject a substantial offer should Arsenal decide to launch a formal bid in the coming weeks.

As the summer transfer window approaches, the battle for Morgan Rogers’ signature is heating up. While Manchester United offer prestige and history, Arsenal appear to provide the clearer route to regular first-team football and a style that perfectly suits the dynamic 23-year-old.

For Rogers, the decision could define the next phase of his career: remain at Villa and enjoy European nights, join United in a crowded attacking group, or take the bold step to North London and become Arteta’s new general in the quest for Premier League and Champions League glory.
